EQUINOX DIVERSITY TEAM

Equinox is excited to announce a change in the Equinox Ministry team. In the past, Equinox has been concerned primarily with celebrating African American culture, values and concerns. We will continue to do that, but now we also want to celebrate the rich diversity of all of our cultures—Latino, Asian, European, Native American and African American.

The equinox is that time of the year when the sun shines equally on the Northern and Southern hemispheres of the earth. As such, it’s a symbol of how God’s love and favor is the same for all people and all cultures.

So we’re announcing that Equinox will now be called the Equinox Diversity Team.  The Equinox Diversity Team will celebrate our cultures and differences. We will sponsor activities, such as a Culture Fair, that highlight the rich diversity of all peoples. Our purpose will be to celebrate, educate, build relationships, and reach out to the many diverse cultures in our church and city. If you are interested in knowing more, contact team leaders Darne Guest and Pedro Gonzalez, or email equinox@mccgsl.org

Interested in supporting the People of African Descent (PAD) Conference by being a sponsor, advertiser or vendor?
The conference schedule allows for flexibility shopping and browsing if you wish to serve as a vendor. The "Souvenir Program" is meant to be used as a guide while conference attendees are in St. Louis and after returning home. This will be a cost-effective method for reaching a diverse audience and a great way to support the 10th year of the PAD Conference. If you are interested, email pad@mccgsl.org or contact Rev. Rachelle Brown or Herman Simpson.
