GOLF TEAM
On behalf of the MCCGSL Board of Directors and the Golf Team, we are pleased to announce that the 2007 Golf Classic Grant recipient is Doorways. Doorways is an interfaith AIDS residence program that is dedicated to providing affordable, secure housing and related outreach for people living with HIV/AIDS. Each year, MCCGSL donates 10% of the net proceeds from The Golf Classic to a deserving community organization . This years grant is $2,780. Thank you to all that make the Golf Classic possible.
“On behalf of Doorways Clients, Board and Staff, I just want to say “Thanks!” again to the members of the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis for making Doorways the recipient of the proceeds of your charitable efforts. The $2,780 you have contributed toward our Advocacy project will really help move our initiatives forward. On another note, please let your congregation know how heartwarming it was to have such an enthusiastic response to my discussion of our mission efforts. With so many challenges ahead of us as we try to adapt services to the emerging needs of vulnerable PLWA, it’s truly inspiring to realize how many others share our concerns and stand with us in the effort.
